Siouxland and Sioux City: Preparing for a nightmare scenario

This summer the Sioux City Fire and Rescue team has been using a donated Siouxland Concrete Company mixer truck for rollover rescue training.

Mixer trucks - especially if they're loaded with concrete - bring a lot of difficult complications to an accident, including heavy weight and awkward vehicle parts.

Certainly we all hope these situations will never happen, but preparing first responders for the possibility is critical to saving lives.
